Void Client — End User License Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Void Client ("Void"), you agree to the terms below. If you do not accept them, you are not permitted to use Void.
1. License
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Void. The software is licensed, not sold — no ownership passes to you, and this licence may be withdrawn at any time.
2. Ownership
All code, assets, and branding belonging to Void remain the property of its developers. You may not claim any part of it as your own work.
3. Data
Void has two parts, and they are very different in what they send.
The client (the mod in your mods folder) sends nothing. No telemetry, no hardware identifier, no device name, no usage times. Your settings live in .minecraft/config/void/ and are never uploaded.
Some client features reach the internet when you switch them on, and only then:
- Spotify — connects to Spotify through an application you register yourself.
- Discord Notifier — posts to a Discord webhook URL that you supply.
- SkinChanger — looks up a player name through Mojang's public API.
The loader (Void Loader) talks to our server, because that is how licensing works. It has to know who you are and which machine you are on, or a single key could be used by everybody. It stores:
- Your Discord account — user ID and username, from signing in. We ask for the minimum scope
Discord offers, plus permission to add you to our server if you allow it.
- A hardware identifier — a one-way hash derived from identifiers of the machine you activate
on. It cannot be turned back into details about your computer. It exists so a licence runs on one machine at a time, and a record is kept each time you move it.
- Your licence key — stored only as a hash, alongside the first six characters so support can
identify it. The key itself is never stored in a form we can read back.
- Your IP address and the time for licence activations, machine moves, downloads and periodic
checks. This is what limits abuse and shows when one licence is being shared across many people.
- The client version you are running, and when the loader last checked in.
- Your email address, if the shop you bought through passed one to us with the order.
We use this to run the licence and to detect sharing and resale. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. It is kept while your licence exists; security records are kept longer so that abuse can still be investigated after the fact.
You can ask what is held about you, and you can ask for it to be deleted. Deleting it ends the licence, because the licence *is* that record.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, publish, upload, share, sell, resell or otherwise distribute Void or any part of it,
modified or not, for payment or free of charge
- Make Void available to anyone who does not hold their own licence — including by sharing an
account, a licence key, or a downloaded file
- Remove, disable, bypass or tamper with the licensing, authentication or update mechanisms
- Rebrand Void or present it, or anything derived from it, as your own work
- Use it for anything illegal, or to harass, target, or harm another person
Nothing in this section limits rights that applicable law gives you and does not allow to be excluded by agreement. In the EU that includes decompiling the software to the extent necessary to achieve interoperability with an independently created program.
5. Server rules and account risk
Void changes how your Minecraft client behaves. Many servers forbid this, and using it may get your account punished or banned. That is your decision and your risk alone. The developers are not responsible for any action taken against your account by any server or by Mojang.
6. Disclaimer
Void is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind — no guarantee of safety, stability, performance, or fitness for any purpose. You use it at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers are not liable for any damage, loss, or consequence arising from its use.
7. Acceptance and changes
Placing Void into your game files, launching it, or otherwise using it confirms that you accept these terms. This agreement may be updated, and continuing to use Void after an update means you accept the current version.
